SHOULD GO AWAY: During surgery, the nerves are identified and safely retracted. This stretches the nerve, causing an irritation which, almost always, is temporary and will resolve. Two questions-when was the surgery, and are you getting better? If you're improving, I find people continue on that path to resolution.
