Umbilical Pain: Such as you describe may only be strain of the muscles ; support structures of the abdominal wall at the umbilical area which has now become irritated ; painful due to the repetitive coughing. However a small umbilical hernia can also cause these symptoms. #umbilical #hernias often present as a small bulge, often tender to touch in naval/umbilical area. See your physician if pain persists.
