Rest: Fracture of lumbar spine and fracture of pubic bone, if 'slight" or 'minor' and in good position do not require surgery. Rest and time are the only treatments.

Not needed: An L1 vertebral body compression fracture does not need to be "fixed". A kyphoplasty is not needed because the bone is otherwise strong and healthy (not osteoporotic). Pubic rami fractures frequently don't need surgery too.
