A member asked:

My insulin 5.1 is that normal when fasting?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal: You need to know what your glucose level was at the same time as the Insulin level to be sure, but that level appears normal. Why was it done? If someone is trying to diagnose Insulin resistance, an Insulin level is not part of the criteria for the diagnosis. If you have diabetes, that level may be inappropriately low.
