A member asked:

After septopasty doc told that he has put something in my nose. it is not splints. and he will remove after 7 days if it won't dissolve . what's this?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nasopore?: There is a new packing for the nose usually placed for sinus surgery. It can be used for septoplasty as well. The material spontaneously disintegrates but is aided by warm salt water nasal irrigations. In 7 to 10 days your doctor will removed the remaining debris. The packing is called nasopore.
