Varicose veins: pregnancy can be a causative factor for varicose veins. The length of the stocking could be a calf length, or a pantyhose. Appropriate fitted compression stockings are beneficial and improve the circulation

Support hose: If you have varicose veins then support hose will reduce the venous pressure in the veins and increase the venous return to the heart. This should reduce the chances of clotting. 20-33 mm HG prerssure would be the correct amount. You should also see a vein specialist for a venouis evaluation and possible treatment of your veins.
