Activity ; stockings: After delivery you will have less chances of getting phlebitis and clotting , now be more active , when ever possible elevate the legs , sea elastic stockings , and warm compresses if your legs feel uncomfortable , you will be fine

Varicose veins: pregnancy can be a causative factor for varicose veins. Usually they will resolve within several months after completion of the pregnancy, however, use of a compression stocking during daily activities would be helpful. The length of the stocking could be a calf length, or a pantyhose. Appropriate fitted compression stockings are beneficial and improve the circulation

Support hose: If you have varicose veins then support hose will reduce the venous pressure in the veins and increase the venous return to the heart. This should reduce the chances of clotting. 20-33 mm HG prerssure would be the correct amount. You should also see a vein specialist for a venouis evaluation and possible treatment of your veins.
