Depends on test: Not sure what that percentage is. There are certain numbers on spirometry which you need to get before you say what lung function is. In general yes you can have a decline in your "lung function" when sick. This will take 6 wks generally to get back to normal. Mostly not an issue for people with normal lungs to begin with. Need more info like fev1 and fvc the ratio is important as well.

Further info/workup: While this may be due to a post infectious process. With time and the antibiotic course, the symptoms and lung function should improve. There may be other causes, and the complete report is needed to further assess. Future testing and workup may include a HRCT of the chest and DLCO as needed.
