A member asked:

Why are my child's pinky fingers curved inward?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Simple clinodactaly: When pinky fingers are turned slightly toward the middle of the hand, the term used is clinodactaly. When examined under x-ray, there is an angulation to the middle segment of that finger. It is a benign and potential inheritable process. It occurs in normal people and sometimes in higher frequency with certain syndromes.
