Eye dryness: Is common after we sleep. This is due to irregularity of the tear film that develops while our eyes are closed. Also, some people have some inflammation along the edge of their eyelids. This can also cause some of the symptoms. Try using some artificial tears in your eyes both before you go to sleep and after you wake up. This should help your symptoms. If not, then see your ophthalmologist.
