Having pain, pressure and popping sound with large incional hernia. N/v unable to have bm. Is this normal it hasnt hurt before.?

Push it back: You have a defect in the fibromuscular wall of your abdominal cavity. Your intestine is pushing its way into the opening and you can push it back inside. Eventually you will need this fixed as there is a small risk of strangulation or twisting of the intestine doing this. Surgery will close the defect and prevent the protrusion.

Not. Term: Not such thing called high groin.

Little: A hernia in this area is a separation of the muscles and fibrous tissue which coats the abdominal cavity and keeps the intestinal loops within that cavity. The hernial opening will allow a loop to protrude which can be painful and in extreme cases can cause strangulation. A hernia truss can prevent this but is unpleasant to wear. Unless minor, you probably will need surgery.

Less Pressure: Inguinal (groin) hernias do not develop "overnight"; in fact, 2/3 of them occur in fetal life and take a while to become evident. Any activity that increases abdominal pressure will promote enlargement, such as heavy lifting, obesity, chronic cough (smoking), straining (constipation). If small and symptom-free, they can be carefully watched. Otherwise, surgery is the best option.
