See a surgeon: Sounds like you need a tiebreaker. Not all hernias need surgery. Why not ask someone who knows and can render an intelligent opinion after examining the patient. Ask your doctor or your local medical society for some recommendations. Good luck!

Won'timprove w/outRx: Hernias don't go away, may stay stable or get worse. Heavy lifting will aggravate the situation. Rx is elective surgery. If hernia no longer reducible more urgent surgery. Strangulated hernia cuts off blood supply-surgical emergency. Before there was surgery for this, there was a truss supportive belt with a knob to jeep tour guts in. They are still available. See your doc.
