Pre-eclampsia : Most medications for blood pressure should take effect within a 24 hr period but realize that it is important to monitor your blood pressure over time and not just spot measurements. Some people may be resistant to some medications but you are on the correct regimen. Continue to take them as prescribed and it would be helpful to keep a daily log for your ob/gyn.
