A member asked:

During cardiac catherization procedure, if 100% blockage found in an artery , would the dye injected & the chather used cause plague moving or problem?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Cardiac cath: During cath a 100% blockage or any blockage is not disrupted by the dye or catheter. But a rare complication during the procedure can happen like a dissection of the coronaries induced either by the cathete or the dye. This can happen either with blockage or without.
