Won't happen: So would i but many disorders are caused by your own body like eczema. Type 2 diabetes is caused by your own body's resistance to insulin; psoriasis, allergies, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and even multiple sclerosis are a few of the diseases caused by the body's own immune system going haywire. We don't know what triggers these diseases but maybe someday we will and we can turn them off.

Control more likely: Curing may be unrealistic unless you can find a food or other allergen causing the eczema and then eliminating it from your child's life. Gentle cleansers, daily use of a good moisturizer like cetaphil and others, use of topical cortisone when necessary, can all help keep eczema in check. Kids with eczema seem to get bacterial skin infections easily too, so oral antibiotics sometimes help a lot.
