Crackling Ankles: Crack, snapple, and pop ankles are typically a sign of some ligamentous looseness that allows the tendons to move a little more than they should. It is normally a nuisance more than an actual problem. If my patients have pain with this noise it is of course a more serious problem. Look into single leg balancing exercises as a daily routine to gradually make your ankles stronger and stiffer.
