A member asked:

Can the symptoms of asperger completely disappear as the child grows up?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly: With prompt intensive therapy children seem to show dramatic improvement, sometimes no longer meeting diagnostic criteria for the disorder.A recent study out of columbia university reported significant improvement over a couple of years in approx 10% of the children. These results are not the norm , however, and most children continue to struggle with their symptoms...Therapy is helpful.
