There are a # of: Different heart murmurs. Some very healthy people have heart murmurs (i.e., flow murmur in an athlete). On the other hand, some can be associated with serious medical problems. You need to be checked to see what kind of murmur this is and to determine if is compatible with diving.

It depends: Most murmurs are benign and warrant no exercise and thus no diving restrictions. I would however have your murmur worked up as a couple of them may be cause for concern and predispose you to cardiac complications especially with exertion. One specific cardiac abnormality named Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) is associated with diving complications.
