Can you tell me more about born with hole in heart and murmur as an adult?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Complicated: A 'heart murmur" means that one can hear blood flow with a stethoscope. Very nonspecific term. A "hole in the heart" is a connection between the circulation that supplies the lungs (right heart) and the circulation that supplies the body (left heart). There are various types of holes (defects). All of the holes/defects have the potential to cause a murmur. Echocardiography will help.
