No: As frightening and frustrating as sleep paralysis is, dying from it is not likely. It is just a state where you are conscious but unable to move all your muscles except your eyes and diaphragm. It is due to intrusion of rem sleep into wakefulness. If you experience this often it could indicate a sleep disorder such as narcolepsy or sleep apnea, in which case it is advisable to see a sleep dr.

Sleep Paralysis: Sleep researchers conclude that, in most cases, sleep paralysis is simply a sign that your body is not moving smoothly through the stages of sleep. Rarely is sleep paralysis linked to deep underlying psychiatric problems. http://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/guide/sleep-paralysis#1
