Possibly: A person with cat allergy is likely to experience sneezing, runny nose, congestion, itchy water eyes and even asthma symptoms on exposure to cats. Hives can occur with direct contact with fur or saliva. There are a number of other triggers of hives. If there is concern over the cause of the hives or whether cat allergy is present, seek the advice of a board certified allergist.

See Allergist: You are likely allergic to your cats. See an Allergist to confirm allergy by skin or blood testing. Allergist can then recommend measures to limit your exposure to cat dander in the house, prescribe appropriate medications, and possibly consider allergy shots if you are going to continue to live with them.
