Anxiety and pregnant: Congratulations on your pending birth. In my experience women with GAD have no extra difficulty with the birthing process. If concerned about pain causing exacerbation of underlying psychiatric disorder discuss with your obstetrician to consider a spinal block. You will still be able to feel pressure but no pain during the delivery process.
