Insomnia: Don't lay in bed awake. Go to another room that is darkened and do a non-stimulating activity such as reading. Avoid electronic devices including tv. Use a journal to write your thoughts if you are feeling anxious. Don't drink any caffeine or smoke. Do your best to avoid looking at the clock. Only when your sleepy should you return to bed. If this doesn't help then meds may be indicated.
