Sore throat remedy: As long as the sore throat is not being caused by a strep infection, a good remedy is as follows: make a 50/50 mixture of liquid Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and maalox and gargle, then spit it out. Do this several times daily. If your sore throat persists, see your doctor.
