Antacid: to see if you do have heartburn, take a simple antaacid such as tums (calcium carbonate). if your symptoms improve then you have heartburn and know how to take care of it. if not improved see your doctor to make sure you dont have heart disease or other mimicry.

Several: 1) No carbonated drinks, no alcohol 2) No big meals before bed 3) No tomotoes or tomato sauce at night 4) Avoid Citrus 5) Watch out for onions & green peppers & peppermint 6) Spicy foods don't help 7) Elevate head of bed 2-3 degrees with book under mattress 8) no kids bouncing on belly (hiatal hernia) good luck! feel better
