Confusing question: Rsv is the virus that causes the common cold in adults. It has no particular bearing on their status with diabetes. It can be rough on small infants, but that is a separate issue.

It does nothing different to type 1 diabetics. They are as susceptible to RSV as anyone of us except for the tiny premies.

Cold virus: The RSV virus is simply a cold virus that is usually more aggressive in early infancy. For an older kid with type 1 dm it has little effect in most cases. Rarely a significant bronchitis could occur and cause a stress elevation to blood sugars during the illness.
