Serious training: Im in sports medicine and ive actually done 4 full marathons In the past I trained by 16 year old daughter to run a half marathon You need to start with whatever you are comfortable with whether a mile or two. You need to gradually increase one run each week typically on a weekend by a mile By the time you build up to 10 or 11 miles, you will be able to run the half marathon - 3-4 months?
