Diabetes, High BP: Kidneys are the most common organs to be transplanted. The most common diseases leading to the kidney failure for these transplant recipients are diabetes and hypertension. For liver transplant recipients the most common diseases are hepatitis C, alcoholism, and fatty liver disease. For heart transplant recipients the most common diseases are cardiomyopathy and coronary artery disease.
