Prevacid (lansoprazole): Prevacid (lansoprazole) is a proton pump inhibitor, a medication designed to inhibit the production of stomach acid. It is very effective at what it does and has very few side effects. Used under the supervision of a physician, it usually is very safe and effective. Good luck.
