Sprained ankle 4 days ago diagnosed with right lateral ligament tear. under bandage over ankle and top of foot a little numb. severe swelling. is ok?

Rest: Ice, compression, elevation. If swelling is severe i would recommend crutches with no weight bearing. If numbness is being felt, the bandage may be on to tight and you need to let the doctor know, .

Daughter 11, sprained ankle quite bad, alot of swelling around ankle ball, starting to get blue, can't put pressure on the foot. Not sure if it is only sprained or ligaments or anything else. Don't want to risk going to dr. But might need x-rays?
