A member asked:

I broke my collar bone two weeks ago and have been going through an excruciating amount of pain through the nerves in my arm. is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Plexopathy: No, this is not normal. A broken collar bone shouldn't necessarily cause pain distally in your arm. The trauma that broke the bone may have also injured the brachial plexus. Can you use your arm and hand normally? If so this is reassuring, but do see your doctor.
