True: Everyone is different, but generally these medications work at cross purposes, as Adderal is a stimulant and xanax (alprazolam) is a sedative. The concern is that neither will work as well as it should, and you will have more side effects than with either alone. It is hard to switch tracks after 5 years but I would give your new doctor a chance
