A member asked:

I don't inhale deeply when empty stomach and i inhale deeply after eating meals. is full stomach pushing against diaphragm and it damages diaphragm?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Stomach pressing on diaphragm when full, is normal. It shouldn't damage the diaphragm. However, in obese people and those with preexisting lung diseases, full stomach may cause shortness of breath depending on severity.
