A member asked:

I have strained si ligaments. when i do butterfly stretch the right si joint feels like the outer edges collide and causes pain. could this be?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sacroiliac pain: You gave your own diagnosis with a si strain. There are multiple attachments in the pelvic floor at these propeller shaped joints. You may have a dislocating joint, that can be diagnosed by your chiropractor or doctor. Certain genetic diseases involving either xs stretching or tightening of these ligaments need to be ruled out. Are you lifting weights or stressing the joint? See doc to know.
