Get help: Pseudoephedrine can cause blood vessel contraction or spasm, but probably will not cause significant heart damage. Far more concerning to me is the purposeful overdose. If you are depressed, suicidal, or have any thoughts about hurting yourself, you need to get help immediately. Whatever the problem, you can get help and it will get better!

Increased heart rate: The over dose causes significant rises in heart rate, hypertension and arrhythmias. It causes vasoconstriction which generally does not produce hypertension, but may be problematic for patients with preexisting hypertension. Arrhythmias may be produced in predisposed patients. Rarely, ithas been reported to cause coronary artery spasm and heart attack.
