See below: Any time there is a loss of cortical inhibitory tone to the pain centers, chronic pain can develop. Tbi could lead to this.

Yes: TBI results in physical, chemical and neural changes within the brain. Fibromyalgia is a disorder of pain signals to the brain, inhibition signals from the brain and a whole host of other brain / spinal cord abnormalities. TBI can set these processes in motion and can certainly set the stage for fibromyalgia and chronic widespread pain to develop (unfortunately).
