A member asked:

I just got diagnosed with bronchitis. prescribed albuterol inhaler and cefdinir. when should it go away and description of the medication ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

3-7 days: Bacterial bronchitis usual begins resolving in 3-7 days after antibiotic initiation. If is is viral bronchitis then antibiotics will have no effect on resolution, and it may take longer. Any progressive fever, chest pain, or difficulty breathing while on therapy deserves a re-evaluation.
