What type: Yu know there is a compound fx means you had an x-ray.Need to know where exactly the fracture is . Location determines if braces to limit movement is appropriate. If there are angular deformities you may need surgery. Nonoperative treatment requires bracing and close clinical and x-ray follow-up.Surgical tx. Is much more involved and infection risk is higher along with close monitoring.
