I've had 2 recent ear surgeries. im having pain from my temple area down into my jaw. dr said its irritation of the temporal muscle how long will this last? does this usually cause headaches?

Yes: Very consistent with tmj. Symptoms should get better in a week or so. If not see your md or dentist. Anti-inflammatories heat avoid ice cubes and chewing hard objects.
