Ambien (zolpidem): I have come to the belief that Ambien (zolpidem) may have been one of the most dangerous drugs ever developed. It does not provide full rem sleep or restorative sleep. It just knocks the patient out. It becomes quickly addictive and tolerance develops with routine or regular use.

Yes, Ambien (zolpidem): Has been associated with hallucinations, sleep walking, amnesia, and bizarre behavior, not to mention its addiction potential. It must be used only under a care of a physician.

Addiction to Ambien (zolpidem).: The main issue is addiction. Ambien (zolpidem) is recommended for no more than six weeks of straight use, in order to reset a sleep clock that may have gone awry for some reason. The longer we take Ambien (zolpidem), the more likely we will eventually never be able to sleep without it.
