Neuralgia?: Sudden sharp pain in the ears is rarely related to true ear infection, whether viral or bacterial. The feeling of fullness in the ear is also non-specific. Sudden sharp pain may be a nerve firing off (neuralgia). Seeing an ENT doctor will hopefully clarify your problem.
