Its not standard yet: The sta wand is a computerized anesthetic delivery system that not all dentists use for getting a patient numb. There are some very good reason for using the sta wand, however, it still uses a needle. The computer regulates a very slow flow rate that is less uncomfortable. Also, the usual numb mouth feeling can be eliminated, depending on how and where it is used.
