Please contact GYN: A period lasting longer than 7 days is not normal. This needs to be evaluated to determine the cause.

Several reasons: Menses lasting longer than 8 days may be due to several things. It could most likely be a one time occurrence from ovulation, and not cause for concern. It could be a hormonal problem if repetitive. It could be a miscarriage, so a pregnancy test is also indicated. See your clinician..
