Adult ADHD usually : Is inattentive type. Adhd symptoms start before age 10 years ; include tending to "hyperfocus" on favored activities, while finding it hard to sustain attention in school or for any other mildly-moderately interesting task, if your word-retrieval problems, distractibility ; forgetfulness are of recent onset, neurological ; neuropsychological exams may reveal a different underlying issue.
