Few symptoms: Your gums will be red and bleed easily when you have gum disease. There is little pain. This is an infection and your immune system would be fighting this infection. See a dentist asap to see what is going on.

Gum disease: Gum disease has local symptoms. Bleeding, swelling and sometime pain which is often a dull ache. Gum disease will usually cause you to not "feel well" but it can can contribute to heart disease, low birthweight babies and other systemic disease. You should see a dentist to get your gums healthy.

It's silent: Many times, there are no physical symptoms associated with gum disease - it's almost a silent disease. You may notice some redness, swelling of the gingiva (gums), the teeth might feel a little loose, you might see some recession of the gum (the gum moves up the root surface) making the tooth appear longer, you might have some halitosis, or bad breath. See your dentist for exam.

Gum diseases : Gum disease is one that includes inflammation (swelling ). It is often accompanied by infection of low grade. Not enough to hurt but enough to affect your immune system. It has been associated with heart problem s and stork a in numerous studies. I would advise a treatment regimen by your dentist and/or periodontist

The first signs: the gums appear red, swollen and bleed when gently provoked by tooth brushing or flossing. Bad breath and taste are also commonly associated with gum disease. The diagnosis and treatment of gum disease are essential in keeping your teeth for life.

Several symptoms: Your general health may not suffer especially at your VERY young age. But in your mouth there may be BAD breath, there may be loose teeth, and you may have VERY easily bleeding gum when brushing. Play it safe, consult with Dentist to be sure!!

Gum disease symptoms: Early on gums become swollen, red instead of pink, tender, begin to bleed on brushing/flossing. As disease progresses you may feel malaise, fatigue, have halitosis, accumulate tarter. Then there are silent problems such as cardiac/kidney/liver damage, obstetric complications, etc. See your Dentist for treatment. If necessary you will also be referred to your physician.
