Can be: Breast fed infants can go every feeding or once a week. Adding other foods can change the stooling pattern.If it is soft when they go it is not considered constipation.

Hirschsprung: I would recommend that you have this child evaluated by a pediatrician or a pediatric gastroenterologist. This may be a condition called hirschprung's disease in which a small section of the bowel doesn't contract. This condition should be treated early to avoid colon issues and toxicity.
