Polydipsia: Check the blood sugar level. The two symptoms of diabetes: polyuria - the need to urinate frequently polydipsia - increased thirst ; fluid intake. To rule out diabetes, see your primary care physician for physical and urine and blood tests. Hope it helps.

Drugs? Diabetic?: Knowing your age, and you're taking in lots of fluids, it is unusual you feel such excessive thirst. Are you on any medications? There are many medications (street drug as well) that cause dry mouth. Other conditions to be ruled out are diabetes, kidney and/or other organ failure, high salt intake. Consult your doctor. Caution: acidic, and sugary soft drinks and lemonade can lead to tooth decay.
