See answer: Svt is a common clinical condition that occurs in persons of all age groups. The cardiologist will take a detailed hx and limited physical exam to help determine possible cause or precipitating factors. He will likely order some blood tests, resting ekg, and possible echocardiogram and/or 24-hr holter monitoring to again help determine the cause but also to try to capture the svt to determine type.
