Heart rate of 240 beats per min on ecg in emergency dept. diagnosed with svt. what can i expect from my appointment with the cardiologist?

The cardiologist will take a detailed hx and limited physical exam to help determine possible cause or precipitating factors. He will likely order some blood tests, resting ekg, and possible echocardiogram and/or 24-hr holter monitoring to again help determine the cause but also to try to capture the svt to determine type.
