Consider Regenexx: You might want to see the doctors in your area that perform the regenexx stem cell therapies (the original docs are in colorado). They have the most documented research about their treatment algorithm and often will do a phone consult with you if you live far to determine how you might fair.

2nd opinion: Usually olympic athelets have access to good orthopedic surgeons, so if we make that assumption, then i would suggest that you seek another opinion. You could start by asking your current orthopedist, or ask your colleagues. Unfortunately you also need to start mentaly preparing yourself for the worst case scenario - the possibility of no longer being able to pursue your olympic aspirations.

?: What is the ?/ tendon damage is a known problem with rx using Cipro (ciprofloxacin) and Levaquin further rx for you would depend on many variables further study by physical exam and ultrasound and or MRI may be of use surg is a possibility also prp or stem cell rx is growing in popularity good luck this recovery will most likely be a long road.

Regenerative inject.: Consider regenerative injections such as platelet-rich plasma or a stem cell type injection (either your own stem cells or a amniotic membrane based product). Tendons are slow to heal, and often need a growth factor boost to promote healing.
