Can be serious: Headaches can have multiple causes including migraines, infections and more serious causes. Does taking a pain medication help? Is there confusion, neck stiffness, vominting? I recommend you go to urgent care as soon as possible.

Worsening headache: If you have escalating, worsening headache for more than 10 days, then you need to evaluated by a doctor to find the reason for your headache.
