Migraine?: Migraine is often associated with nausea either before or during. However migraine usually lasts hours not seconds. Did you mean the nausea lasting only seconds? If so, it would be unusual but not improbable.

Nausea/migraines: current thinking suggest that migraines occur when certain nerves in the brain signal blood vessels to enlarge. Changes in estrogen levels are also thought to play a role-hence more women get migraines. Blood vessels on the brain.also swell when serotonin(neurotransmitter) is low. People with low levels of serotonin are prone to migraines and Low levels of serotonin are linked to nausea
